WHY CHOOSE Post Falls Music Academy?

Located in the heart of Post Falls, Idaho, we offer Suzuki and traditional style music lessons for ages 4 and up for guitar, violin, piano, voice, bass, cello, drums, ukulele, flute, harp, and clarinet.  These classes are taught by patient and experienced teachers who not only have completed college and university level music degrees, but who also perform professionally.

We are an Official Family Safety Plan Music School!

In order to keep our students, staff, and teachers safe, we have implemented the Family Safety Plan in our schools! This includes glass windows on lesson rooms to foster transparency between teachers and parents, full-time office staff so that students and teachers are never left unsupervised, requiring extensive background checks of all of our teachers and staff, security cameras in all rooms, and an open-door policy for parents, which means that they’re always invited to sit in on their child’s lessons. 11 BENEFITS OF BECOMING A Post Falls Music Academy STUDENT

1 – Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Piano, Violin, Voice, Bass, Ukulele, Drums, Cello, Clarinet, Trumpet, Flute,  and Harp in ONE location!

We are the only music school in the Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene Idaho area that offers all of theses most popular instruments: Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Piano, Violin, Cello, Ukulele, Drums, Clarinet, Flute,  and Harp in one location.  We welcome all beginners and all levels--no matter what your age!

2 – The most qualified teaching faculty in Post Falls

We have highly qualified music teachers, all with either college training or professional performance experience. Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them.  We also carefully vet and background check each teacher for quality and integrity.  We are confident that we have the right teacher to meet your music lesson needs. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn in your music lesson.

3 - Fully stocked music lesson rooms.

Our rooms are stocked with everything you need for music lessons,  keyboards, pianos, stands, drum kits, amps, and more. All you need to bring is your instrument. We have spent a lot of money on our studio to offer quality rooms that are both comfortable and functional.

4 – A proven track record of excellence.

Post Falls Music Academy has a proven track record of offering quality music lessons in Post Falls, Idaho the whole year round.  Our full time mission is teaching music lessons.   We have been offering music lessons since 2011!

5 – Trophies, certificates and award wristbands to celebrate achievement.

We are the only music school in the North Idaho area that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies and certificates for passing musical tests. Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool “Musical Ladder” wristbands that they can show off to their friends. More importantly, when our students have a test coming up, they practice more, their parents are proud, their teachers are proud, and everybody wins.  We also specialize in music lessons for adults. We don't think learning music should be boring--it should be fun!

6 – Free music recitals at professional recital halls!

Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in a recital.
In June and December many of our students  perform in our biannual recitals. We hold these at various professional recital halls around our community for the best acoustics and experience.
For our students these recitals are free and unlike many schools in   North Idaho   we do not charge for recital participation or admission fees. This can only be found at Post Falls Music Academy.

7 –Located on  Polston  Ave. in Post Falls close to Super 1.

Due to its central location, our school is convenient to all areas of Post Falls. Close to our school, you will find great shopping and dining. Our location is convenient  and we have many students from Coeur d'Alene, Hayden, Rathdrum, and Liberty Lake, Washington.

8 –A comfortable waiting area.

Instead of waiting in a music retail store showroom, our clients relax in a spacious, professional waiting room equipped with comfortable chairs, games, Wi-Fi, magazines, and water service. Or, if you prefer, you're welcome to sit in on the student's lesson at any time.

9 – Picture Day.

We are the only music school in Post Falls that offers a picture day for their music students.
Every year we host a free picture day with a  local professional photographer. This is a service that our student's parents love as they all want quality photos of their children . Adults are welcome too! Students can bring their instruments to the photo shoot and wear whatever they like.

Why Recitals Are Amazing

We cannot say enough good things about Dawn at Post Falls Music Academy. She has been such a great teacher for my kids the last three years. She is so encouraging, sweet, and very knowledgeable about music and instruments. Our kids have made wonderful progress during their lessons with her.

W. Knudtson

My children started Suzuki violin lessons with Dawn and while my daughter thrived and progressed, my son seemed frustrated by it. She recognized this and together we came up with a new plan that included him switching to ukulele and the newest guitar instructor. He has really thrived and is so happy with this decision. Throughout this process, Dawn was beyond patient and understanding with a 4 year old stubborn boy. She, and Post Falls Music Academy are wonderful and we couldn't be happier to give our kids the gift of music here!

A. Edminster

I'm an adult student who has always wanted to play music as a child and never had the opportunity. As an adult life became busy with work and children. Now my children are almost all grown and it was time to start my dream of playing piano. I am so thrilled that I can now play as well as read music and I have a much greater appreciation for all types of music. I love my lessons at Post Falls Music Academy and my teacher, who is always patient and understanding yet is able to help me overcome the difficulties when they occur. I am so glad I made the choice to take my music at Post Falls Music Academy.
